Attributes Propagation on FEA Model

چکیده
A way to manage the information needed during the FE simulation model preparation is by means of attributes linked to the adopted models. This paper presents the design and implementation of an attribute management system that supports the representation of all the information and data related to the simulation domain definition, needed to qualify an engineering analysis. The main objective of such a system is to be able to attach, maintain, reuse and check the attributes during the FE simulation model preparation. Among the applications of such an attribute system there is the ability to maintain all the HLT representations (BCs, material, B-Rep topology) in the same HLT data structure called the evaluated HLT and dedicated to express and describe specific concepts as they can be needed at a given stage of the preparation process.

A new finite element approach for near real‐time simulation of light propagation in locally advanced head and neck tumors
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Several clinical studies suggest that interstitial photodynamic therapy (I-PDT) may benefit patients with locally advanced head and neck cancer (LAHNC). For I-PDT, the therapeutic light is delivered through optical fibers inserted into the target tumor. The complex anatomy of the head and neck requires careful planning of fiber insertions. Often the fibers' location an...
متن کاملNumerical simulations of magnetic resonance elastography using finite element analysis with a linear heterogeneous viscoelastic model
Abstract Magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) is a technique to identify the viscoelastic moduli of biological tissues by solving the inverse problem from the displacement field of viscoelastic wave propagation in a tissue measured by MRI. Because finite element analysis (FEA) of MRE evaluates not only the viscoelastic model for a tissue but also the efficiency of the inversion algorithm, we d...
متن کاملCompressive strength of delaminated aerospace composites.
An efficient analytical model is described which predicts the value of compressive strain below which buckle-driven propagation of delaminations in aerospace composites will not occur. An extension of this efficient strip model which accounts for propagation transverse to the direction of applied compression is derived. In order to provide validation for the strip model a number of laminates we...
متن کاملInvestigating sacroplasty: technical considerations and finite element analysis of polymethylmethacrylate infusion into cadaveric sacrum.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Sacroplasty is not as routinely performed as vertebroplasty, possibly due to technical challenges and the paucity of data regarding subsequent outcomes. The first goal of the present investigation was to describe a technique for sacroplasty that facilitates safe needle placement and polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) extrusion. The second goal was to perform finite element ana...
